Here's another little watercolor (like 4x4 inches) One thing that I've discovered right away about watercolor is that the kind of paper you use is very important. I'm used to working with acrylics where you can paint on anything, but watercolors work differently on every kind paper!
If you want to see little watercolor paintings of girls done right, check out Bill Presing's blog!

Wow Mike! You say you're starting off with watercolors but it seems you are catching on fast. I like the look of her outfit; a true leather look to it.

Done right? Well I wouldn't go that far. I appreciate the complement though.
This Zatanna totally rocks. So does this whole blog actually.
I have to apologize for my ignorance Mike, I didn't even realize you had this blog 'o girls until right now.
It's like my new favorite place to be.

Very gorgeous, Mike!
But when did Zatanna swipe Black Canary's outfit?
Just kidding!

Lud, so did you ever meet a girl that wore the same outfit every day????
What kind of paper are you using? Try some of my super paper if you have any left.
I was fortunate to get one of Bill's Mermaid's from SDCC last year so I can attest to how good he is and I agree with him about your Zatanna.
right now I'm just using whatever paper I have around. I have some Canson watercolor paper pads that have a texture side and a smooth back, the smooth side seems okay.
