A zillion years ago I did a painted reinterpretation of the original cover of TMNT#4 to be used as the cover for the reprint. That image was then used on a bunch of products, posters etc so lots of Turtle fans remember it fondly. This year at Comic Con, Nickelodeon redid it once again, using the current CG Turtle look and had the cast sign it. I didn't get a copy myself but it looked cool!

I know this is a couple of months late but I just came across this post.
I remember that issue cover and the painting because it was used on the TMNT NES video game. Childhood nostalgia! Cool recreation with the new CGI Turtles but they could've at least threw a credit to ya!
