I've been playing around with charcoal recently as a change of pace. It is pretty messy but I like the painterly feel to it. The reference for this one is a photo of Jane Seymour that I had in my studio...sigh, Jane ;) 9x12 charcoal on newsprint
Nice job and I hear you on the lovely Ms. Seymour.
I got to meet her in person once as she was staying at the hotel where I worked while on a book tour and came by the desk to pick up a package from her publisher.
thanks, I like your blog as well... http://frecklesfun.blogspot.com/ all of those drawings of people bundled up in winter clothes! Winter is long, but at least we get to see all the fun hats!
