One of the things that I've been playing around with recently is drawing on some kind of colored background. I swirl some color onto the paper, let it dry then draw and paint on top of that. When it works, it makes for some interesting effects. This is kind of small, like 4x5 inches. Ink, watercolor and colored pencils too!
