more green!

Okay, here's a few more Turtles and I think that I'm all caught up now ;) These were fun to do, I mentioned elsewhere that it was kind of like drawing at a con, only with no other guest artists....Dooneycon 2009!
Now, I'll have to post some girls here soon or I'll have to change the name of the blog !

I love the New York backdrop for the Leo one. I wonder how you feel about Splinter or Casey or April commissions vs. the turtles. I guess April is right up your alley as she's a girl :)

Thanks all, I have nothing against the other TMNT cast, I was just sticking to the Turtles for these so I could get into a groove and get them done on time.

How do you go about coloring these? Are you using Prisma markers or Watercolor? Pens or brushes? I've been thinking about getting into water color, but have never done it before. Any advice?

I draw them with a black marker, then do the shading with Copic gray markers (warm gray 2,4,6 for most of them) then do some white detailing with white gouache paint and a sable brush.

Fantastic work I hope to get a commission in the future, very impressive!

Mine is the Leo in the middle. It looks really awesome framed and in my room next to a serigraph and my Leo Lawson commission.

I did just realize that Leo's sheaths don't have the across the shoulder strap to hold them up in place... I think Splinter taught Leo a lot more of the mystical arts than we ever expected!

Thanks so much Mike!
