Hey gang, the purpose of this blog is to show some of the comic book sketch commissions that I do in between my "real" work. I get a kick out of doing these drawings especially when I am familiar with the character and since I started reading comics in the '70's I know a lot of 'em!
I'll be posting sketches of characters from the golden age to the present.
I post ebay sketch auctions from time to time, do sketches at comic shows and folks contact me directly as well.
Most of these are done on bristol board in pencil or sometimes in dark blue pencil which gives kind of a cool artsy look. ;)

Extra nice job here Mike! The pose is top notch as is your interesting use of hair longer than the short jacket...don't think that I have ever seen that effect before with Black Canary.
